How far in advance should I book my date?We recommend that you book my services as soon as possible. The recommended booking timeframe is 8-10 months prior to your wedding, but 11-18+ months in advance is now becoming the norm. Did you plan for everything BUT your makeup and hair artist? Don't worry! It's never too late to book either, so there just might be an opening in our books for you!

How do I secure my Bridal Service Booking with you?Services are contracted on a first come, first secured basis. In order to secure your date, a signed agreement and retainer (50% of the Full Agreement Amount) are required. Services booked within four weeks of the wedding date require payment in full. Once both the signed agreement and retainer are received, your date will be secured. This means that until your retainer, agreement and confirmed number of services are submitted, your date is not secured and can be booked by any inquiry at any time. The retainer is non-refundable and non-transferrable to another date or service. That’s it! Inquiries and trials alone do not secure your date, and due to our demand, we are unable to inform someone when other inquiries are made about their date. In order to lock in our services, we recommend securing your date as soon as possible!

Do you offer a Trial? If so, what happens during the Trial? We no longer offer trials during wedding season (May-October) to inquiring brides that have not secured an agreement with us due to wanting to offer the already limited trial availability's priority to our Lovely Brides! Since Lovely Beauty Bar does not offer trials to brides who have not secured their date, we do not offer trials, instead Lovely Beauty Bar offers a Preview to our booked brides. Previews are required for all brides. Nothing would be more stressful for the bride (and your artist) than showing up on the day of your wedding and having a miscommunication between the look that you envisioned and the look that your artist creates. Or drawing a complete blank and not even having a look in mind at all! Previews are scheduled 3-6 weeks prior to your wedding day. During the 90-180 minute preview, we will discuss the details of your wedding, including what you’re wearing, your hairstyle, bridesmaids’/bridesmens’ and groomsmaids’/groomsmens’ attire, flowers, wedding colors, and overall wedding vision, as all of these details tie into your makeup look. Any skin issues or allergies that you may have will also be addressed, as they will influence the products that will be used. Then comes the fun part-your bridal makeup look! Photos of inspirational looks that you like, and don't like, are highly recommended, and will help to communicate ideas about your look. Some great places to look for inspiration photos are here in my gallery, other bridal artists’ websites that share the same aesthetic as myself, bridal magazines, and celebrity red carpet looks. Many images found on Instagram and Pinterest are heavily filtered and photoshopped, and some are even computer-generated, so do keep that in mind if using Insta and Pinterest as a source of inspiration. Once your look has been finalized, we will discuss what you have in mind for your wedding party in the way of makeup as well. Of course we want everyone to feel comfortable in the makeup they’ll be wearing, but it’s important to make sure that their makeup looks are cohesive with your makeup, each others’ makeup, and the overall vision of your day. Preview appointments do NOT go towards your day of service minimums as that is a completely separate appointment. We have the ability to be in-studio on those weekdays since we are always booked on wedding parties every Fri-Sun.
